The Me That I Call I
Urban Song Project

Available shortly

‘The Me That I Call I’ is about hindsight, and moving forward. It also talks of the feelings of frustration that things just don’t happen as soon as we’d like, nor in the expected fashion, so in a sense, it’s also a song about fate, and where it takes us.

The track was recorded in Colorado and Los Angeles in the US, and various locations in London, UK.

Lyrics

From a time, a place before I grew
To a world with all my fears in view
I turn to see the me I knew
To the me that I call I

(The me that I call I)

Where fate and hindsight rendezvous
Is where I seek the endless clues
To the rhythm of my bluest blues
To the dark end of the sky

The me that I call I
The me that I call I
The me that I call I
The me that I call I

(The me that I call I)

And yet the ministers of all my fates
They declare hesitation waits
For a thousand years, behind the gates
Of certainty, of truth

But I declare I cannot wait
No, I do not wish to hesitate
With then as near as now can be
This songbird needs to sing…

The me that I call I
The me that I call I
The me that I call I
The me that I call I

(The me that I call I)
